Help Shape the Cortez Makerspace

The Cortez Makerspace is a shared community space where people can learn new skills, access tools they may not have at home, and work on creative, technical or business ideas.


Before you begin the survey, we'd like to share a bit more about the Cortez Makerspace.


Location

The Makerspace is located at 209 W Main Street in Cortez.


What's Available Now

Inside the space, the following equipment is currently available:

  • 3D Printing Lab for rapid prototyping, including a 3D Scanner

  • Digital Design Lab for creatives and entreprenuers


What We Are Exploring Next

We are actively seeking your input on the next phase of equipment and programming. Some of the spaces we're considering include:

  • CNC machining lab and Woodshop for trades-based learning

  • Laser Cutting Studio

  • Commercial Kitchen for food-based business start ups.

  • Youth Innovation Zone - including the student-led NirvaNA sober bar that was started in 2025.

  • Community hub for meetups, exhibitions and collaborative projects.

Your feedback will directly influence programming, equipment decisions and partnerships at the Makerspace.
