Innovation Challenge Entry - Open Division

Entry fee for the Open division of the Cortez Makerspace Innovation Challenge (entries July 28 to September 20, 2026; the build window opens August 17). First prize: $5,000 plus a full year of makerspace membership, and your work stays yours. Every entry includes exhibition in the online gallery, a professional photo by our media team if you want one, and awards-night floor space for finalists. Supplies are not included: entrants provide their own materials. One entry per maker or team. Right after checkout we email you a personal link to add your project title, category, description, and a photo. It usually arrives within the hour, so watch your email. Per the Official Rules at fundamentalneeds.net/challenge-rules, every maker keeps their work, winners included, and any maker may choose to donate their creation to Fundamental Needs, with donated creations becoming the treasures of Part Two. Fundamental Needs Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; proceeds fund youth workforce training at the Cortez Makerspace.
